Body Piercing
Primal Urge is one of the oldest and most respected body piercing facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Primal Urge has set the standard for clean and safe body piercing because Primal Urge is the only body piercing facility to undergo a full OSHA inspection under Bloodbourne Pathogen Standards by an OSHA inspector and operates under these standards to insure you receive the cleanest and safest piercing possible. Primal Urge is known for the painless piercing procedure developed by Master Piercer Ron Rotator, who has over 15 years experience in the body piercing industry.
Before you decide to receive a piercing it is important that you understand that there are 4 key factors to having a successful piercing.
The 4 key factors are:
Proper Jewelry:To have the greatest chance of receiving a healed and healthy piercing it is imperative that proper jewelry is used for a new piercing. The jewelry used for new piercings must be the proper gauge and diameter which will insure you have the ability to remove all the body mass, from the all metal, on a daily basis. In addition selecting the type of metal will play a key factor in your ability to heal a piercing. Dermatologists tell us that 8 out of 10 women have a reaction to the nickel content of metal. Using nickel based metals such as surgical steel, 14KT and 18KT yellow and white gold and many other metals used in body piercing contain nickel and can cause a reaction which will irritate the tissue which will become more receptive to infection.
The Piercing Facility::The cleanliness of the piercing facility and the level of sterilization and sanitation used by the Body Piercer will have a direct bearing on the healing process of the piercing. Primal Urge utilizes a high level disinfection procedure to insure not only surface bacteria are killed but also airborne bacteria. The Primal Urge facility is completely disinfected on a daily basis to insure your piercing is preformed and a perfectly clean and safe environment. Our Piercing Staff performs the piercing procedure in full compliance with all OSHA regulations because our client's health and safety is our first priory.
Proper Aftercare::Primal Urge Body Piercing aftercare program uses the body's natural ability to heal a wound. With any wound on your body, the healing process is the same. The body will pass sterile body fluid through the wound, which absorbs the bacteria in the tissue and then comes to the surface to make a scab. New skin begins to grow under the scab and when healed the scab falls off. The only difference between a cut and a piercing is the body piercing jewelry. The body fluid still passes through the tissue but is not able to form a scab; rather it sticks to the body piercing jewelry. If you allow the body fluid to stay on the body piercing jewelry, the microorganisms on the body naturally become attracted to this body fluid, gather and create the bacteria that can cause an infection.
Aftercare Compliance::Primal Urge is always available to assist you during the healing process of your piercing. Primal Urge ask that you comply with are aftercare program do not divert from the aftercare program unless recommended by your Primal Urge Body Piercer.
The Primal Urge Staff is experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of the body piercing procedure.
